'Migrant' usually means a person who moves from one place to another - mainly looking for work.

Dictionary defines 'migrant' as 'One that moves from one region to another by chance, instinct or plan' OR an 'Itinerant worker who travels from one area to another in search of work'

However, in normal use any person who moves to other region or country either for work, business, education or settlement is called 'migrant'

Migration and Immigration is on increase however there is no global platform where the migrants can come and meet and communicate with each other or their family members and hence we decided to launch MigrantNet which we hope you join and enjoy.
